About the Role
We’re seeking a Solution Architect specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance and Operations) with a strong background in ERP implementation and development, particularly using the X++ programming language. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to analyze functional needs and design robust IT and EAM/CMMS (Enterprise Asset Management / Computerized Maintenance Management System) solutions. Your responsibilities will include both building new features and maintaining existing products within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the development cycle of IT and EAM/CMMS systems, including needs analysis, system analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, support, operation, and maintenance.
- Evaluate the technical feasibility and contribute to the development of software specifications.
- Provide architectural governance, best practices, and technical leadership throughout project lifecycles.
- Lead fit-gap analyses and design sessions to identify configuration vs. customization needs.
- Develop new functionalities and maintain existing functionalities using the X++ programming language.
- Optimize the performance of applications developed for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and produce technical documentation.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Requirements
- College diploma in computer science or equivalent (a bachelor's degree in computer science is an asset).
- Around 10 years of experience in Dynamics AX and Dynamics F&O development.
- Deep understanding of ERP processes and architecture, with a focus on Finance, Supply Chain, and/or EAM/CMMS domains.
- Experience in team development environments.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles, analysis, design, and best practices.
- Proven ability to develop scalable solutions based on business and functional needs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken French and English.
